ESN SFTU

Eras­mus Stu­dent Net­work (ESN) is the largest vol­un­teer stu­dent organ­i­sa­tion in the world. ESN’s mis­sion is to cre­ate a more flex­i­ble and mobile edu­ca­tion­al envi­ron­ment by sup­port­ing stu­dent exchange programs.

ESN SFTU works in the inter­ests of State For­est Tech­ni­cal St. Peters­burg Uni­ver­si­ty and aims to improve the con­di­tions for their social and cul­tur­al adap­ta­tion in St. Peters­burg and St. Peters­burg State Tech­ni­cal University.

ABOUT US

We are the first Russ­ian ESN can­di­date sec­tion found­ed in 2014 with a mis­sion to help stu­dents, inter­na­tion­al (incom­ing) and out­go­ing to adjust to their life in Saint Peters­burg while stay­ing here and after com­ing back from exchange pro­gram, in aca­d­e­m­i­cal, pro­fes­sion­al, social and prac­ti­cal sense.

There­fore, we organ­is­ing dif­fer­ent social and cul­tur­al events such as lan­guage clubs, par­ties, inter­na­tion­al food fests, excur­sions, trips, cin­e­ma nigths, etc. Every­thing that will make life of our new friends and col­leagues much fun­nier and easier.

In addi­tion we are inter­est­ed in devel­op­ing sci­en­tif­ic exchanges in the for­est sci­ences area. We are plan­ning to organ­ise for­est relat­ed exchage pro­grams and conferences.

Fur­ther­more we are social mind­ed, we organ­ise donor days, vol­un­teer events.

Except deal­ing with inter­na­tion­al stu­dents, we also work for a ben­e­fit of our stu­dents by pro­vid­ing them use­ful infor­ma­tion about Eras­mus+ pro­gram and oth­er echange pro­grams, moti­vat­ing them to go study abroad, orga­niz­ing par­ties, giv­ing them a chance to become a vol­un­teer and to get involved more in the aca­d­e­m­i­cal sur­round­ing of the Saint Petersburg.
